Wrote a very frank and personal essay (500 words). It is extremely personal and a topic I have never reflected on before, so I am not sure if it is appropriate. Please message me if you would be willing to give me some feedback. (Looking for adult opinions only) Thanks 
My only thoughts are that if you are having any doubts about the appropriateness of your essay, don’t use it. Try to get your message out in a less personal way. You never know how a AdCom may take it. (and yes, I am a mom not a kid graduating in 2018)
Agree with @Tperry1982‌ , but I encourage you to get opinions from people you know and trust. You are at a stage in your life when you are still very much learning about life, and only beginning to seriously reflect on some topics. While most users here on CC are smart people, willing to give good advice, you never know for sure what our perspective is. PM me if you can’t find, or aren’t ready to open up to, someone in person.

Also ask yourself why you have chosen that topic…and if you were on the admitting committee what would you do with that information?
