Is my GPA still good enough?

Hi all,
today was the last day of school (late, I know) and I am pretty depressed because my grades have fallen so low. I maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA until this year. I got an A- in history, physics, and I think I might get an A- in English too (I am not sure... My teacher said she curves the grades based on an upward trend but she hates me a lot so I am not sure how much I can trust her) and the rest I have A's. I calculated my GPA and it dropped from a 4.0 to 3.87.

I am so worried about my GPA and am afraid that might prevent me from having a chance in applying to Ivy Leagues. I am Asian (Korean) but the school county is the toughest in the nation. I am also an IB diploma candidate so all of my seven classes except one are IB classes. Will my GPA possibly harm my chance in getting into Cornell? What about UVA?

Oh and that is 3.87 if I assume that I got an A- in English also.

It might hurt Cornell because they are VERY big on GPA. However, high test scores can make up for this. What were your SAT and/or ACT like?

as long as your SAT/ACT is high you should be okay. what is your class rank?

A 3.87 is not a big deal, you are fine.

Average GPA at Cornell is a 3.79.

You’re fine.
