Well, I’m sorry to say that CC is definitely not the best site to ask something like this on. People will tell you “No,you should be taking every AP class available and not take what you want to.”

Your schedule is absolutely fine and also challenging. Colleges will like it, so don’t worry about these people.

Thank you!
But I’m going to seriously work my butt off to get the rest of my grades near perfect to compensate for my schedule.

Oh and my classes next year are going to be: AP English Literature, Gym, AP Chemistry, AP World, AP Calculus, Study Hall, AP Spanish, and Band. So that should be good, right?

Yes, don’t worry, your schedule this year and next year looks good.

fairy_dreams, some schools require study-hall. My school has the split hour for study hall and lunch. They definitely won’t let you drop lunch, trust me, I tried :)

You have a competitive schedule, so I wouldn’t fret at all. Actually your senior year schedule is more competitive than almost anyone except me in my school. I think your junior year one is too. You are on a good track, just keep up those grades and don’t feel you have to “make up for” your schedule. You really don’t, it’s already competitive.

Don’t listen to these people. I’m taking 3 AP’s too. I’m not going to get into Harvard, but I’m also not shooting to get into an Ivy League. As long as I get into a nice, top ranked school like University of Washington or University of Texas I’ll be happy. Not everyone on here is looking to attend the Ivies by the way…

I think your schedule looks like one a typical hard-working junior at my school would take. I really think it’s about the quality of your AP’s, not your quantity. It’s about knowing your limits and what you can handle.

I must second the comment about the worthlessness of Spanish 4, though it certainly is not a universal thing for all schools.

Your senior year schedule is perfectly fine. If you have a view of the college you want to get into then make sure you are doing everything to get there. Challenge yourself in new ways during the year, and not necessarily through SCHOOL work. Research, sports and writing are all great things to be a part of.

Most importantly, find yourself and you’ll be great, because the only standard you should live by is yours (though make sure you extend that standard farther with every success).
