<p>I live fifteen minutes away from Princeton NJ. Does coming from out of state help, or is NJ too competitive that out-of-state doesn’t matter?</p>
<p>Penn isn't a state school so it doesn't factor in, unless you are from Philadelphia in which case it helps.</p>
<p>Penn gets a ton of apps from NY, NJ, PA, and CA so admission from all those states is very competitive.</p>
