Next year I’ll be a sophomore and at my school the schedule is really weird. I am doubling up on math but then I wasn’t going to be able to take an AP. My school only lets you take one AP as a sophomore too. I am able to take AP Psychology online though so my schedule is now:
Honors Humanities 10
Honors Algebra 2
Honors Pre-Calc
Honors Chemistry
Honors Latin 3
AP Psychology
My goal is to be able to finish high school with having taken AP Calculus BC but is my schedule rigorous enough right now? Honors classes are an extra .5 boost and no other kids in my grade are doubling in math and taking an AP.
Do you have an English class? Are you on a block schedule that your classes are a semester long? If not, how can you take Algebra 2 and pre call at the same time.
Why not take Precalc next year and Calc BC the next? or do you have to take Calc AB first at your school?
Most schools don’t allow Alg 2 and Precalc at same time
Where is english? or is that history + english
My classes are on a block schedule so I can take Algebra 2 the 1st semester and I can take Precalc the 2nd semester
I can take Algebra 2 the 1st semester and Precalc the 2nd semester and Humanities is english and history
@fiona75
Is Humanities a double period class (English + History)?
Don’t “block scheduling” schools have 4 classes per semester?
Humanities is Engligh+History, therefore, it takes the whole year to complete versus Math where I can finish it in one semester
Ok, makes sense .
Is there any semester class you can take to round that out? Art maybe?
my schedule is already full but I can do acting
I suppose you have 4+4, right?
So,
Humanities/Humanities
Algebra2/Precalc
Honors Chem/Latin
AP Psych/?
My school requires you to take GTD (get things done aka study hall) the whole year so I’m taking an AP online
