English - my class was based on discussion, reading books/passages, writing essays and a more detailed literary analysis.
Chem/Phys - science classes, you’ve got labs, new concepts to learn, practice to do on solving problems. Phys. is the 8 series, so nothing too intimidating there I would think. Perhaps 3B is where you’ll want to place more attention as it’s highly competitive.
Psych 2 - when I took it, it was based on lectures and reading from a textbook, concepts weren’t too hard, though not as interesting as I made it out to be.
No idea about ES.

My opinion is that it’s quite manageable, provided you don’t party your socks off too much. Maybe wouldn’t hurt to take one of them P/NP if it’s not something that’ll be considered for grad/prof school apps.

English R1A – depending on your lecturer, you may have about 4 essays for the entire semester. Maybe lots of reading. But not too bad.

Chem 3B – I heard it’s easier than Chem 3A, so if you had no problems with 3A, 3B should be okay too.

Physics 8B – I heard 8 series is a piece of cake (Maybe not to the people who took the 8 series, but definitely to the people who took the 7 series).

Psych 2 – The lecturer I took it with was really easy. I didn’t really go in lectures and everything you need to know for multiple choice exams were on the powerpoint slides and textbook.

ES 10 – Interesting class. Not too many assignments and exams are definitely do-able. Prof Firestone is awesome.

Thanks easylife808 and yogayoha! I appreciate it!

A few more questions if you guys do not mind.

Is English R1A heavily based on participation (20%)?

Are Psych and ES10 hard classes/Curved?

Finally, are the textbooks for Psych and ES 10 required? As in, do we have homework straight out of the textbooks. Can I buy the old editions and still do good in class?

BTW, I am taking ES 10 with Firestone.
Again, thank you!

This should be manageable if you don’t procrastinate. You’ll more than likely focus your attention mostly on Chem and Physics. And since two classes are P/NP, it’ll give you even more room to breathe. Good luck with the semester!
