So, thats my question, because I see they give a lot of money for international students but it is written that they could not apply for need based financial aid, which is ambiguous for me. What is the truth?

Northeastern (like many schools) is not need blind for international students. Need blind means that a dirt poor student from Missouri gets the exact same consideration as a rich kid from right outside of Boston, because they both live in the US. They only look at their grades etc, even though the poor kid might have zero chance of being able to go (because this is just acceptances, which is BEFORE financial aid considerations).

However if they don’t think an international student will be able to go without an almost-free ride, they might not accept them, even if they are better and have more money than the dirt poor US student.
