is neuroscience or biology more memorization

I'm a student who likes reasoning rather than memorization facts. I'm picking between either neuroscience or biology and both these majors I'm interested in. Which major is less memorization. I'm premed, so if theres other major recommendation, please say.

btw, I posted this question on JHU forums and for some reason its deleted. I don't see how this question breaks the rules.

First, I have no idea what the answer to your question is.

Second, a strong piece of advice. There is absolute no readon why you have to be worrying about this right now. Arts and Science students have until their sophomore year to declare a major. As the current students have already said on CC, on the Hopkins forums, and on the blogs -- the biggest misconception about becoming a freshman is that you have to have your four year academic plan set before arriving on-campus. The truth is you need to explore, open your horizons, and ultimately see what field of study best suits your interest, your passions, your learning style etc. No one can tell you whether YOU should study bio, neuro, or any other subject. It is YOUR decision to make, and a decision you absolutely do not have to make right now.

Finally, as for why your post was deleted on the JHU forums, I am not actually sure. I know we have been having SPAM problems of late so maybe one of the moderators deleted your post accidentally.

Neuroscience might possibly have more "reasoning" involved because you will use some math and physics to describe electrical impulses moving through the CNS.

every science involves understanding, some students just prefer to memorize over learning and they tend (not always) to do worse than people who take the time to learn properly. learning alyways helps.. even more so with long term stuff. basically.. either way youll learn a lot in either if you want. pick what interests you more.

oh okay. well the thing is, in my biology class, I hate it when all I do is brute memorize stuff, but enjoy it when I'm learning. I was wondering which would fit me a little more

daniels: hmm, i posted it once, deleted... thought i maybe didn't actually post... posted again... and deleted again

Why don't you just work on your English :)

....... who prefreeds when they post on forums. Obviously you're new here :)
