Im basically deciding whether studying business at northeastern or economics at Boston University i went to visit them both in summer and liked them a lot, in which university might i have a better future, i slightly liked northeastern the most

No. Go BU!

They are very comparable. Apply to both, compare FA packages and such, and attend where your heart tells you.

I actually agree with soccersamdude11. Very comparable I would say Northeastern has an advantage with a better campus and the coop program. BU has slightly better prestige than NEU although that gap is closing every year.

yeah i liked NU’s campus the most and coop is great, i just read that Northeastern jumped from 96 to 80, pretty amazing if you ask me and well deserved its a great u

Northeastern has been on an upward trajectory over the past decade. I’m pretty impressed with them. Saw a nice presentation on their continuous improvement efforts at a NCCI ([National Consortium For Continuous Improvement In Higher Education - Home Page](http://www.ncci-cu.org)) conference a couple of years ago.

The rankings are meant to sell magazines; dont take them as gospel.

they are true wow a 16 rank jump

Yes, Northeastern is a good school (starting my master’s there this fall). Kind of tech-y. And I would expect the co-ops to be useful for a business student.

BU’s a good school too. I don’t think you’re going to go wrong, academics-wise, either way. As for campus life…I have my own opinions on this, but you should check that out for both of them.

I think BU’s great, but with your interests I’d go with Northeastern. From what I’ve heard, the co-op system would be a great advantage for you. But I agree that both are good schools, and that it comes down to which setting you prefer.

Northeastern is great, it’s definitely one of my top choices for next year. I also read that they are #2 for up and coming schools.

Nice job completely eating up their garbage rankings.

Please recommend me if Northeastern uni is good for me since you have been through all this. I want to pursue a career in business, probably IB with concentration in finance. Since i am an international student I ll have to pay a lot to study here. Please tell me if the edu and co-up would cover the costs i put in and if its really worth it.
I have to choose between either james medison, NU, University of Massachussets or Colorado State University. Looking forward for anyone’s assistance in this matter. I ll really appreciate your comments.

Ambitious, you should also start your own thread in the International Students section, you’d get more advice. To receive advice specifically from the original poster, you need to send him/her a PM.

I would recommend Northeastern because of the co op program that they offer, it will get you real connections as well as work experience that you might not get at other schools. Hope this helps.
