A few weeks ago I went to a “Tulane Coffee Chat” with my admissions counselor and he said that they are trying to get all EA applicants an interview with an alumni. I am getting concerned as other people from a lot of other places have been getting contacted about interviews, but I have not. I live in the Philly area so not having an alumni shouldn’t be the issue, and all of my application materials were in way ahead of the deadline. I guess what I’m wondering is what does getting interviews actually mean, and what does not getting one mean? Does getting or not getting an interview usually correlate with a rejection or acceptance? I am probably freaking out for no reason but any input would be appreciated.
No

Delete the word “probably” for accuracy.
Good luck.
You are “freaking out for no reason” - alumni interviews are optional.
Every year, lots of kids ask this. Interviews are usually managed by the alumni office. Not adcoms.
