is passive always wrong?

If you see 3 passive ways to fix the sentence and two active ways, can you immediately cross out the passive ones because they won't sound as good?

Is this something the SAT does all the time? I know active sounds better than passive, but I'm not sure if the SAT will always choose the active answer. Can someone help?

Nope. Sometimes passives can be right. Crossing out passives should be a stump card if you're down to, like, the last two answers and can't find a good one O_<

It really depends if the active voices have other errors in them.
o_O

generally yes. SAT writers always prefer an active voe.

But it has to be parallel. If rest of sentence is passive, then answer is passive.
