Is Penn State's new IR grad school going to be good?

<p>I just came across Penn State's School of International Affairs. If I'm not mistaken, this fall will be its inaugural semester. I'm just curious if anyone's familiar with the program and whether or not it's going to be worth keeping in mind when applying for Fall 2009 (as I am). Is there anything that makes the program special? Any notable scholars? Specific strong points? Regional foci?</p>

<p>I know nothing about it but I'll say this much--as a SAIS graduate (which is in DC), I just can't imagine doing graduate work in international studies in a remote place like State College, Pa. Of course, I'm assuming that it is in State College. If they put the new school in Philadelphia--that would be fine.</p>
