helloooo
i'm a student taking poli sci 2 with Prof. Price this fall for a prereq / breadth requirement... I'm kind of scared because I don't know anything about politics and i don't like it at all... I work hard though, but I'm afraid that I'll be with all these smart politically minded students.. for anyone who has taken it, is it a hard class for newbies, and also, does it require a lot of work?? thanks :D

HHAHAHAHAHA AHHHHHHHH AHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHH AAHAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH.....
falls off chair....snorts....farts.... ahhhahahahahahahahah

ok...it's not hard @ all, well....it's hard to stay awake..but other than that not hard @ all, do your readings, you'll b fine

^ wow punk! I've never see you this ecstatic on the boards : D rolls eyes

lol I also have pol sci 2 so ... I guess I'll try to stay awake? Are you majoring in polysci as well?

There's already been a post asking about this. I have all the books, which will be needed when you do the papers, otherwise, I dare anyone to sit in the front row and see what happens during lecture.

it is cool when he shows the first scene in the godfather

????????????? The GODFATHER?!?

yah, to illustrate a kind of political system based on patron-client ties, any poli-sci student worth his salt oughta read the godfather and see @ least parts 1 and 2, to understand power structures better.

. . . I did . . . serious dude flicks . . . I hid under the bed during the horse in the bed scene. I won't tell you where I hid for part two!

hahaha man...i love that movie. i wish sonny didn't die tho, i cringe when i see that part.

i love it when he beats the **** outta connie's abusive husband, that's such an awesome part.

the class is very easy. don't bother with the readings. all exams questions with the exception of an optional essay are based on lecture

Godfather? It kinda ticks me off when people use fiction to back up their arguments or ideas about the social sciences. Whatever, stupid prereq. I hope it's not as boring as you guys make it seem.

oh dood chill, it's fiction, and it's super fun, but it does have truth to it in how that kind of political system functions, and it's a hella good read.

Uhh, if everything is based on lecture, why do you need to CITE your sources then.
