Is Purdue worth it for out of state?

I recently was accepted into Purdue engineering and was wondering if it was worth it. I live and Texas and got into TA&M, not UT, but I don’t really want to do petroleum (I was thinking electrical or aeronautical) which is one of their biggest focuses.
I was also wondering what the campus life is like at Purdue, I don’t know anyone who went there or goes there.
Thanks for your input!

TAMU doesn’t just have PetE.

What are your parents saying about paying for Purdue?

Texas A&M has both electrical and aerospace engineering and Texas A&M is one of the top 15 engineering schools in the country, about on par with Purdue. So no, I don’t think it makes sense to go out of state and pay inflated prices for Purdue when you can get essentially the same education at TAMU for much less.

My family is pretty well off so they could pay for Purdue without taking loans but they said i would have to paying them back after I get a job.

Then going to Purdue when you have the excellent TAMU instate would be crazy…and you’d be completely annoyed when you were having to pay back those loans later on realizing that you wouldn’t have had them if you had gone to TAMU. .

Do you realize that employers are NOT going to pay you more for going to Purdue?
