I got a letter from Questbridge about 2 weeks ago and I was wondering if it was worth it for me to give it a go. My parents make about $49,000 combined in a year but they have $150000 in total assets, savings, checking, etc. They are immigrants but that is about all- so I don't really have any severe "hardships" other than being low income and parents that speak accented English- no abuse, drugs, foster care, nothing like that. My grades are pretty good- I have a 4.0 gpa (4.5 weighted) and got a 30 ACT composite. I'm not bad at writing but my essays are nothing incredible. My school offers no AP's or IB's, I don't play any sports or instruments. I do some volunteering, but not much. I am on a couple of committees in school, but nothing major. From the partner colleges, the ones I am most interested in are the Ivies, UChicago, and Northwestern, but I don't know if my stats are good enough. I plan on going to medical school and major in biology, if that helps.
