Is RPI really nerdy?

Overall its nerdy and male dominated, but theres quite a diverse mixture really, and people don’t seem to have problems finding like-minded people to hang out with.

I always like to mention though, the seperation between the “two cultures”, on campus and fraternities. It seems most of the “party people” move off campus after there first year.

Also, I’ve heard that the people who are really into sports live up in RHAPS or the dorms beyond BARH, so they will be right next to the athletic facilities. I’ve personally never been there though.

Before I visited the campus I thought the RPI students would be on the nerdier side but was proved wrong. The students that I spoke to were some of the friendliest and most helpful that I have come across since starting my college “tour”. The tour guide that I had was very charismatic; shame he’s a senior and would have already graduated by the time I went there, assuming I did go there.
