Is it easier to get a 3 on AP Physics B, or a 600+ on SAT II Physics? What are the differences between the two? Thanks.

I haven’t taken physics b but I think that a 600+ on sat physics would be easier. I got over 600 after not having physics for a year. With the curve on the subject test I think that just about everyone should score above 600

Both are pretty I think. The AP test is very straightforward; MC was much easier than I expected, and this was last year. With the SAT II, you just need to pace yourself and answer as many questions as possible. I took it last year and didn’t understand that there were 70 questions (it was just something I didn’t realize before until I opened the test booklet) so I ended up not answering at least 5 questions and guessing on a few. I got a 770 though, so it’s ok. AP Physics B has all the required topics for the Subject test, and it’s probably better that you’re taking them together because Physics C leaves out the optics, waves, and atomic physics you’ll need for the Subject test.

One thing for the Subject test, study a bit more rotational mechanics. It’s normally a Physics C topic, but it would be good to have a better understanding of it because it’s not all that prevalent in Physics B subject matter.

Both are pretty *straightforward
