I got into the international affairs scholars program and I’ve heard it’s sometimes a drag? Should I stay in it before I go to OSU?
The preferred scheduling is a plus. My best friend was in that Scholars and she said they did nothing and she didn’t make many friends though others seemed to grow close. I’d say stay for the chance to meet people and have priority scheduling but don’t expect a lot from the program. It’s less hands on more lecture every month.
Depends on if you are going to school to party or to study
My daughter was in this program 5 years ago. It gave her priority course scheduling, a nicer dorm that she might otherwise have gotten, and the opportunity to go on a trip to India in May (location changes each year). Other than these bonuses, I don’t think she saw it as a burden or benefit.
