<p>Besides the overall co-curricular experience, are there any other benefits to the Scholars Program?
Also, are there any scholarships available for being in scholars?</p>
<p>I attended the Scholars presentation this past weekend and most of the students in the program seem to agree that one of the major advantages was priority scheduling. I think the order was;
Honors,
athletes,
Scholars,
everyone else.</p>
<p>The students mentioned that the extra day or so makes a big difference in scheduling because most of the desired courses and sections close out quickly.</p>
<p>As a parent, I found that the closer relationship that students have with their advisor was an advantage. Who better to go to for a Letter of Recommendation than some faculty member that have been working closely with for the past few years?</p>
<p>I have just applied for the Environmental and Natural Resources Scholars program, anyone know anything about that?</p>
<p>The priority scheduling is a big advantage. My son was able to schedule a required computer course before all other business students. Many were closed out or had to take the late evening class.</p>
