Is seven credits of science too much?

Biology 1
Physical science
Chemistry 1
Chemistry 2 AP
Anatomy
Biology 2 AP
Physics AP

I would like to major in biology and eventully a doctor

Are you also taking English, math, social studies and foreign language every year?

yes ^^^^^^^^

If you took some of them in middle school, online, and/or doubled up on them, no.

If you have enough credits in each of your other main subjects (4 ‘years’/credits of eng, math, history, foreign lang), then feel free to use up any spare room for the sciences. You’ll likely have some extra room for classes of your choice each year, and will also probably have a a lot of flexibility in your senior year in particular. I had already taken enough math, history, and foreign lang to have a fairly open senior year schedule.

I ended up taking 5 class periods of science (AP Phys B, AP Chem, AP Bio) senior year with the latter two courses being each two class periods long. That equated to 4 credits of sci just in my senior year (1.0 phys, 1.5 chem, 1.5 bio), and a total of 8 credits through high school (also took H Bio, H Chem, H Phys, AP Env Sci).

Basically, I took classes that interested me once I knew that I had all my bases covered on other credit requirements. I’m planning to major in biochemistry and be pre-med, so you can guess why I took all that science. Good luck!

Our school has a Magnet program for people who aren’t in the zone for it, and you pick between Math, Science, or Technology. The science one involves 7 science classes. So, no it’s not too much, plenty of people take a lot of science.
