just curious!

not quite, rabbitrun.

For better or worse, Skidmore has undergone a significant, if not outright dramatic, transformation over the past 10-15 years. Although still more "fringe" than peer institutions (Hamilton, Bates, Conn College, etc.), it is invariably less of a party school, for predominantly wealthy kids, than it used to be.

Whether it is due to the political climate, or the fact that the College is on a short list of "hot colleges" and MUCH more competitive to get into, Skidmore has evolved into an institution that focuses equally on academics, athletics and the Arts.

The student body is at once participatory, driven and creative.

I live in MA and applied ED round II. Do you think I will get my letter on the 15th ( like they said) or a few days later since i'm out of state?

I just really want to know, and I'm tired of waiting!!

Thank you!

hello,
i live in pakistan and i applied for ED round 2 to skidmore. do you think i will get my letter on teh fifteenth(like they said) or a few days later since i'm in a different country?

this has been the longest week of my life!!

heh i applied ed2 also... my dad stresses the "you will get the letter BY feb 15" but i've read of ed1 students getting the letter on the 15th (especially also because i'm in-state)...and then there's the debate of when people across the country/out of country will get it, because they probably just mail them all out at the same time, or maybe they don't, who knows!

so basically i'm waiting too, very impatiently. sometimes scared to open my mailbox...

well , good luck to all of you!(i'm surprised there are other people early-decisioning skidmore...most of my friends havent even heard of it)

then you must expand your circle of friends, because Skidmore is a hot place right now!

thanks travelrrr....good to know

yeah i'm sure it is. i'm just curious: how are your grades? and how many of you are applyyign for financial aid? and how much of a difference does it make if you aren't?

hey people, have you gotten the letter? or have you gotten the other sad letter? i still haven't.

I was deferred at Skidmore, does anoyone know roughly what the percentage rate is of who is accepted after being deferred ? Is there anything that I can do to increase my chances? My reportcard will continue to be sent to them and they should have received my midyear by now. I also informed them of by plans to tutor children in english in China this summer. I emailed them this information, should I call also?
When I emailed admission@skidmore.edu before when I had a question they never replyed.. did anyone else have trouble getting a response from that address? I'm just worried that if I didn't get a reply to my question they also won't receive/read my deferred follow up email. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

i got my letter thursday

now that you mentioned it, i emailed them too. first, i thought that perhaps they are too busy to reply, but now that they didnt reply to you either, it's beginning to worry me. yes, i think you should give them a call just in case. i would.

p.s: i still dont have my letter/email/fax/whatever. paris, did they email you or send you a letter?

they sent a letter

I just saw that Skidmore has launched a Business Network for its alumni. I guess that may answer your question if it was still as "Bohemian".
