pretty simple question...

My dd is a junior there. She calls it "Camp Stanford." When she calls, I don't ask her how her classes are; I ask, "are you happy?" It is always a resounding YES! I think one thing that might be unique to Stanford is that kids work hard there and they play hard there. Not bad life in my opinion! And yes, she does have fun!!

From what I hear, it's fun. Sort of like...really damn fun.

On the admitted students site, there are various subsections:

Admit Weekend
Academic Life
Campus Life
Connect
Financial Aid
Events in Your Area

and...

Cardinal Fun. :-)

Stanford quite clearly prides itself on the "work hard, play hard" ethic.

Yes. Stanford is lots and lots of fun. You will have the time of your life here.

Yeah it's fun, don't expect all fun all the time though... there is still work, especially if you are doing a hard-core major.
but fun is definitely available

What would you consider the most demanding major, Salik? Which major seems to me torturing friends and accomplices at Stanford the most?

Watch out for theory classes- I know a friend who is really into theoretical physics, non-applied advanced stuff, and he found those classes really, amazingly difficult.

Salik, manly man! What's up, hermano?
