If my intro to stats class is STAT 210, will they count it as a math class in calculating the BCPM GPA?

Yes it is, as long as any math-like course is under the math department, you're good. Its somewhere on the AMCAS website.

^ what he said - as long as any course is in the math or stats department, you're good

Oh okay, so then I wouldn't have to indicate anything special for this stats class to be recognized as a BCPM class right?

No - and you actually can't "indicate anything special" on the AMCAS application - you have to enter things exactly as they appear on your transcript and then the verifiers decide if you've entered anything incorrectly.

Why does it have to be in a math or stats department? I am taking a statistics class called "Health Behavior Statistical Methods" in the Health Promotion department. So, would this be included in BCPM?

Any input would be helpful.

It kinda depends - is the content of the course more math oriented or more public health issues oriented?

If the course content is more math oriented than anything else, you can label it as "math" on your AMCAS. But the AMCAS verifiers go through all your courses and will relabel it if they see fit.
