Is studying/prepping worth it?

<p>I've been debating taking an SAT prep course, or even simply buying some practice materials, but I'm wondering what kind of score increase I can expect. I scored a 224 on the PSAT without any prep, studying, practice, etc. Would a prep program really be able to boost my score enough to make it worth it, or would I be just as well off simply attempting the SAT without any prep either?</p>

<p>(I took the Dec 5 SAT, so once I get my scores I'll have a better idea of whether I need studying, but I'm just curious about the general score increase after prep)</p>

<p>No but buying a book or two is recommended atleast
You might not need classes, but will need some books to help you</p>
