<p>“Easy” is a relative term. I think the stats on how many are accepted are somewhat skewed in that people without real art skills just don’t apply to BFA programs that require portfolios for admittance. If SVA is still on your list in the fall, you might consider taking your work to a National Portfolio Day to get their feedback or maybe schedule a review on campus if you are in the area.</p>
<p>Other schools that are good for computer animation (I know, different from art) are SCAD and Ringling – but not in NY If you request a catalog online from SVA, they will send you a tome filled with artwork of current students. It might give you an idea of the type of work done there and what they are looking for in a prospective student. Are you looking at graphic design? computer animation? cartooning?</p>

The admission difficulty mosty depends on your GPA and portfolio I think, like many art schools.</p>
