Is taking the math subject test redundant?

I’m taking the U.S. History subject test and i think i’ll do well, but since I’m taking the ACT which has math, will taking math 2 be seen as redundant? If I don’t take math 2 i’ll be taking chemistry. Does history&chem or history &math2 look better? Thanks in advance.

Honestly, it is a preference option. Either one looks fine.

what are you going to major in? what tests do your universities require/recommend? Math 2 is sometimes a requirement or recommendation (thus assumed required) for admission to Engg./Science colleges and schools. If that’s the case be sure you have it down.

Math2 tests different concepts than ACT math and is generally more challenging, as all SAT subject tests tend to be.

If Math2 isn’t required or recommended by your college either will do fine. Do which you think you’ll do best on.

Biology or History i haven’t decided

That actually reminds me that penn recommends math 2 so i guess that’s what it’ll be. I have yet to take either test so I’m not sure which ill do better on tho.

take some practice tests. If you are naturally really good at math (routinely get A’s in math classss and on math tests) Math2 will be a piece of cake, also since you get to use your calculator. No calculator on SAT Chem if I’m not mistaken
