Is TAP necessary to transfer to UCLA?

<p>I was wondering if TAP is necessary to transfer to UCLA. Will they accept me in a impacted major like psychology if my GPA is high - 3.8 and higher - or do they only want TAP students? THANKS</p>

<p>TAP isn’t needed (i transferred without TAP) however, from what i recall, TAP gives you the ability to be considered for a second major if you get rejected from the first. Not a terrible idea since psychology is really competitive.</p>

<p>The JC i went to didnt have a tap program but i still got accepted w/o it.
my major was astrophysics though so it was not impacted</p>
