Is the Alumni Association worth it?

Looking at the "benefits" on the catalog, I can see there is a 99% chance I will use none of those things when I graduate. When will I ever need to rent a large conference room hmm? And as for stuff like access to the library and non-revenue sports, puh leeze, anyone can do that, alumni or not.

So anyways, is there any real good reason to shell out $300 to join the UCLA Alumni Association?

I guess the practical reason is for Bruinview, which is like a UCLA job search, and bruin Professionals, which is like networking events during the year.
The website says it also lets you join the group on Linkedin…although it sounds weird you have to pay to join a group.

Yes. Networking events.
