That seems to be the latest average. I was considering Long Beach or CSUN. That seems pretty low. Does this reflect on the overall academic experience?

Not really, its just that CSUN is easier to get into than CSULB because CSULB is somewhat selective while CSUN accepts most who apply with decent scores. Your academic experience will be affected more by what major you choose and how involved you are rather than which campus you select. CSUN has pretty good business, engineering, and education departments. If you commute, I would recommend the closer one.

That is Critical Reading plus Math. Doesn’t include Writing. Still low, but not absurdly low.

No offense, but 926 out of 1600 is absurdly low by my book. When I first took the SAT, I panicked, skipped one question and got the numbering of the questions wrong half way through the reading section, meaning I basically guessed on half of my reading questions. I still got a 900. I took it a second time and did much better. CSUN has historically been on the lower end of the CSU scale as far as admissions. They do have a decent campus and I am sure you can find decent professors to guide you the right path academically, but the students around you may not all be UCLA material.

Yeah, that’s pretty low alright. I think CSUN was headed somewhere before the earthquake happened in the 90s. They spend a decade rebuilding the campus but they haven’t recovered academically since. They’ve always been a back up for UCLA student but people are getting rejected there with 1250/ 1600 and they’re sure not heading to CSUN any more. I believe the viable CSU alternatives these days are Cal Poly SLO, Pomona, and SDSU.

yes, it’s very easy to get into CSUN.

Yes it is.
