Is the Candidate kit mailed home or is it online?

After you send in the PCQ, is the Candidate kit mailed home or online?

they will send you a letter home, but the website you used to do the PCQ will become your candidate kit, it is all online, and no official forms are mailed home except medical info. you will simply enter your ssn and bday to access... mid june is when they come out i believe...

The entire process is done online. I believe either we (2012) or 2011 was the first class to do it completely online.

do you guys know about how many people apply each year?

well the letter tht came with my appt. said 10,000 or so...

but dont let tht be discouraging, odds were meant to be broken...

2011 did it all online. :)

you'll fill out the PCQ first of march.. get a little post card about mid-june givin you the website of your candidate kit..

Just shy of 10,000 apply a year to USAFA.

I don't know Petko... it seems like it was a bit closer to 2012!

mmm blue is so much more.. what's the word... beautiful.. blue is so much more beautiful than yellow ;)

Blue also matches the uniforms a bit better. Do we have to wear those big bright trucker hats I saw on USAFA Webguy's website during 2011's BCT?

Yes, you'll be wearing blue ones. As far as matching your uniform goes, I'd actually have to disagree. The only place your class color shows up on any uniform is on the exemplar tab on your (post-recognition) A-jacket. Blue is cool, sure, but a blue tab on a blue background isn't really...visually exciting, I guess. Gray, red, and gold stand out much more nicely, in my opinion. ;)

Here's the breakdown for the class of 2011

Applicants –9163
Candidate Pool – 6723
Qualified Candidates – 2007
Offers of Admission – 1600
Total Admitted – 1266
Women 21%
Minorities 221%
Average SAT Verbal – 629
Average SAT Math – 658
Average ACT English – 29.0
Average ACT Math – 29.6
Average ACT Reading – 29.7
Average ACT Science Reasoning – 29.1

Uh...Did you mean 21% minority?

Yeah, probably meant 21%. But with only 1266 admitted out of the original 9163 applicants, those admitted are in the minority. :)
