Is the Cornell year longer than other universities?

I don't whether it's just me, but looking around the academic calendars of other universities, it seems that the term in Cornell starts earlier than most universities and finishes after them. Thoughts?

I mean I'll probably be doing mid terms before some of my friends start university :(

At least our winter finals aren’t after break. cough Princeton cough

I know that Cornell’s school year ends in March while Stanford ends in late June.

cornell ends mid may

We also have a five week winter break (four if you come back for rush week)

Cornell’s Fall semester is roughly from August 20 - December 20 and winter semester roughly January 20 - May 20 (plus or minus a few days each, depending on the calendar). Like ilr2013 said, there’s a 5 week winter break, four if you come back for rush.
