I got a 34 on the ACT and I just took the Sat and am looking at getting a 2200+. I also come from one of the most competitive schools in the state (top 15)
Wanted to see how competitive I am for schools such as USC, UCLA, Berkely, NYU. I am also trying to major in economics.
@Yeezus23 Hi. Your ACT score is great for these schools. And your activities are great and impressive. But if you want to increase your chances at these selective schools, you need to raise your GPA; try to get A’s this year. Overall, you’re a competitive applicant.
Ahha jk well your uw GPA seems sort of low for UCB, UCLA but UC’s really only calculate your sophomore/junior grades and so if you did well on those you’re set.
I have no idea about your chances but I’ve seen in your past posts that you consistently spell Berkeley wrong. Probably a good idea to get their name correct when you apply. Good luck!
@Falcon1 idk what u mean by “consistently” spelling Berkeley wrong when I have only posted 2x about Berkeley including this post… but thx for your help!
If you can manage an absolutely killer essay, and your SAT score comes back even slightly above a 2200, I’m very confident in NYU and UCLA even with your (not low, but low by those school’s standards) GPA. Best of luck!
