Is the free waiver deadline for Macalester BEFORE November 15, or can I submit it today (Nov. 15)?

I swore tomorrow was the 15th, and the procrastinator me (and I was also doing homework) thought it would be OK to submit it today. Plus I needed and still need some more criticism on my essay. I’d really like to save $40.

Also, a sort of unrelated question - If I’m submitting an art portfolio (not an art major, but as a supplement) must it be in by Nov. 15 as well, or do I still have time to add to it?

I think today counts as “by November 15.” All you have to submit is Part 1, which as I recall is basic info. You wouldn’t be obligated to pay now anyway as I understand it.

Wait, is Part 1 only on Macalester’s website? Because the information on it is similar to that of which I’m putting in the Common App, so I’m getting confused now.
If it’s the one on their website, I can still submit the rest of my Common App (for free) afterwards?

That link says submit the common app OR Part 1 (Mac website) by November 15 to qualify for the waiver. My daughter (first year at Mac now) submitted part 1 early, the common app in January, and did not pay the app fee.

Thank you very much. I submitted my Part 1 around 2-ish so I am all set. I just saved $40!

Good luck!
