Is the "hot topic",above, still a hot topic

Why is the Haywood arrest still up in the hot topic section? Is this still relevant information for high school students? Dave Berry is a Penn State grad. Did he post this to put Pitt in a bad light? Why isn't the PSU scandal, PSU firings and PSU arrests posted in the hot topics section of the PSU site?

I agree. I have often thought that this story isn’t relevant. Maybe we can get a mod to take it down?

I would like to see it come down, too. But it happened and anyone can google it. My real issue is with the integrity of college confidential. Who determines what is a hot topic and are the standards applied equally? It seems to be a conflict of interest for a PSU alum to determine what is a hot topic for Pitt applicants.

You guys have a pretty good point. If this is a Pitt “hot topic”, and “child predators gone wild for decades” in happy valley isn’t a PSU “hot topic”, well there’s some explaining to do.

Heck, at this point, PSU is begging Pitt to schedule football games, just saying.

I’ve thought the same thing. I think the Pitt “Featured Discussion” should be AwesomeOpossum’s ask me anything thread. It’s incredibly helpful.

I sent a message to the mods asking for a change, so fingers crossed!

Aww thanks :)

Awesome! I didn’t know you could do that. Let’s hope this gets taken off!

Yay! Success! :)

Great job, LurkNessMonster! Way to take the initiative. This is good news.

Yes! And the new hot topic really is a hot topic!

Woohoo! I feel famous :P

Where is that darn “LIKE” button?
