just wondering what you guys think.
As someone who has been surrounded by diversity/open mindedness/etc. would being at rhit effect me?
It just made me think because college is an important 4 years where I will grow as a person and mature etc. so would being in such a closed off (and not very diverse) environment be a problem?

Happy to answer the question…just don’t quite understand what you are asking when you speak about lack of open mindedness and a closed off environment. Give me some details and I’ll be happy to add what I can in way of response. TIA.

i mean, is it diverse enough? Alum connections are fairly important. If i want to go back to the north, would i be completely out of the loop?

Every state is represented in the student body and has been for quite a while now. Same goes for alumni living all over the US and abroad. Again, I just need some more specifics: where you want to live and what type of work you want to be doing. I can then come back with specifics.

Speaking as a current student, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. People are generally accepting and open-minded. One’s experience at Rose-Hulman will definitely be different in comparison to West/East Coast schools that are far more liberal and diverse.

In the end, it comes to being more about you than it really is about other people. Some people consider me a “flaming liberal/communist”, but no one is discriminant based on political ideologies/race. From the overall sense of things, we all share the universal truth in that we are all human and thus we shouldn’t put an artificial barrier in the way we see other people.

Just my two cents.
