I know that the insurance charge is for the entire year but should I assume the meal plan is for the semester only? I mean, for the food that they allegedly serve 2k per year should seem more than enough but I am not sure.

Never mind, I just checked and it is for the semester.

Yeah, it’s pretty damn expensive

Is the Georgetown meal plans worth it? I heard the food wasnt that great and I’m on the 14 plan now

And is the insurance optional or mandatory?

^Well, worth it or not, I think the meal plan is required if you live on campus. I doubt that the food is great. There are probably things you could eat without any problems but I bet that as it is the case with many large cafeterias some things will be disgusting.

The insurance is mandatory, given that you do not already have your own insurance that meets Georgetown’s insurance requirements.
