is the october ACT too late for early decision?

i was supposed to take the ACT yesterday for the last time but unfortunately my ID was "invalid" (even though it worked fine for the last two ACTs) and i had to leave. it sucks because i wasted my second fee waiver on it. i really want to apply early decision to a school and i was wondering if the october test date is too late for this...the test date is october 26th and the early decision deadline is november 1st :/ i've taken the ACT twice already and my score is fine, but i really, really want to up my math and science. i've looked this up but i can't find a definite answer. can anyone answer this?

According to your posting history, Barnard, right?

I helped administer the ACT yesterday, and many of the “old-timers” commented that a number of policies had been really tightened up since last spring. So please do be very careful to make certain that your ID is valid when you register for the test again.

yeah, i’m definitely going to get a new form of ID soon. i’m a weirdo and don’t even have my driver’s permit despite being 17. i had to go get a state ID or something like that when i took the ACT in april but the actual card wasn’t ready so i took a paper version of it. i barely got through the first two times and this time it just didn’t cut it. i don’t even know if i actually ever even got the ID…but yes, i won’t let this happen again. thanks for the heads up!
