Face value is 50k a year.

I mean, honestly, if my parents have to pay they say they'd pay but I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's worth going to NYU over a good state U that can give me good scholarships.

good state u unless u wanna get ino nyu’s top programs
OR
u really really really like nyu

You can also get scholarships/Fin aid depending on ur situation though

if you’re in a field where the NYU name or where being in NYC will really help you, it’s worth it.

otherwise, go to a State U. but you might qualify for financial aid.

No. NYU is a phenomenal school. I turned down a couple schools, even Ivies for it. Not because it was cheaper(which surprisingly it was), but because of the location and the programs. My family is in a low income bracket, so money was certainly an issue. If you have to think about whether or not a school’s price tag is worth it, you need to consider it as an investment—in yourself. No particular college education is worth sacrifing yours or your family’s quality of life, especially in the long-term. Prestige can only do so much. It is not where you go, but what you do.

you pay for the network and the atmosphere. If you meet the right people, NYU will be a good investment.

No school is worth it if you can’t afford it and it will put you into financial trouble for years to come.
