Is the UCLA admission decision a good indicator of UC Berkeley's decision?

Got waitlisted from LA. I heard that Berkeley is generally a bit harder to get into. Does this translate into an upcoming rejection?

No, Each UC’s has its admission process. Best of luck!!

Read the UCLA admissions discussion forum. A lot of students have discussed this issue over there. There are also some examples of students who have been rejected/waitlisted by UCSD AND UCLA and got into Berkeley.

Hence, as @Jr12317‌ stated, both the departments are completely independent of each other and one’s decision does not indicate the other’s in any manner.

No…each is separate. It is common for students to get into one and not the other…either way.
