I have been working through the work that is necessary to apply for the Villanova Presidential Scholarship, but I want to know: If I receive the scholarship, do I have to go there due to the lengthy application process? On top of that, what are my chances of receiving the scholarship with a 1500 (CR+M), 4.35 GPA, and a good amount of clubs and activities?

In order to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship, students must first be nominated by the chief academic officer of their high school (principal, president, headmaster), guidance counselor, or an official school designee. They can also be nominated by a representative from a home school entity or non-profit educational organization dedicated to helping high school students with the college search process. They then must submit a completed application for admission by December 1. Upon nomination, students will be given further instruction on how to apply for the Presidential Scholarship.

Are you asking…If you win the big award, are you obligated to ATTEND Villanova?

Yes, sorry if my question wasn’t clear… Villanova isn’t one of my top choices, but if I get the scholarship, it would obviously be a good option. I’m just afraid of not having my choices open

I’m not sure what @4dadskids is responding to, but I’m not seeing where you would be required to attend.

Okay. Thanks for the help!

OP, you could refuse the Villanova Presidential Scholarship by not attending Villanova; but you can’t use the scholarship on other schools.
