And does that includes women, as does Harvey Mudd's FAST program?

I have the same question, anyone know?

I heard back from the program, and the answer is no, it’s intended audience does not include women. It is for African-American, Latino and Native American students.

Aren’t there two similarly named programs – WISE and WiSE? The first is Weekend Immersion in Science and Engineering, aimed at URM’s, and the second is Women in Science and Engineering.

Yes, there are. Pretty confusing.

So only for male black, Latino, and Native American students?

The one I’m familiar with is the women’s program but a quick google of the URM-focused program suggests that it’s for students of both genders. The For Parents section of the site says “We look forward to introducing your son/daughter to life at MIT!”

^ It sounds like it’s open to any gender, but the focus is on race, not gender.

Yes, what I meant to say, is that it doesn’t include women as an unrepresented group in their won right, like Harvey Mudd’s FAST weekend does. Females in the specified groups are welcome.

I think women has a different program, but it’s too late for this year. It’s probably ended already.
