I know Ivy League schools consider a lot of things when you apply - GPA, rigorous classes, extracurricular activities, interview, essay...

But I was just wondering if there is a point of applying to some Ivy League schools with a 2110 SAT score? I am looking at a few Ivy League schools (like Penn and Dartmouth), but I don't want to waste my money if there is no shot from the start.

I hear about so many kids who have a 2250+ and they get denied. So my question is, is there ANY chance of getting into an Ivy League school with a 2110?

YES! 100 extra points on the SAT does not a better applicant make. Your essays will really allow you to shine, surprisingly moreso at those colleges.

2110 is a weak score to be applying to ivies with, even the lower ones, if you have no hooks (meaning you’re not a underrepresented minority, staff kid, legacy, athlete, etc). Essays CANNOT compensate for weak academic indicators. But it’s still worth applying if you’re interested because a 2110 will not toss you out right away, maybe even consider Early Decision for better chances if you’re really taken by one.
