Is there a difference between Information Technology Management and Management Information Sytems, or are they the same thing? It seems like both are kind of preparing for an IT management type position but I'm not sure.

bump, any input :P

anyone? this site seems pretty dead

The only variances in the MIS, IT, IS, CIS, ITM, etc. programs are going to be determined by the coursework itself. They are all the same general basic degrees to hiring managers(Information Technology + Business), but what matters more is going to be what you actually study and how it applies to your prospective duties in the workforce.

Review the actual coursework you plan on taking at the colleges you plan on attending and decide for yourself whether or not the program is suited for your eventual career path. In the end, experience means more in the IT industry than your undergraduate degree. Certifications can also help specialize your skills to give you a leg up under certain circumstances.
