I've heard CC is the most popular on the web (actually, seen it in on the CC homepage), but any other comparable or rivaling boards, threads, etc more powerful than CC?

For Cornell you mean? I don't think there is one. People have tried creating ones in the past, but none really became overly popular, as far as I know. CC is a fairly large community overall, and there are many more readers than even those who post regularly.

Overall, definitely not; the board 2ch has more than one million posts per day.
There are rival threads, such as the one found on PR or the slandering site, Auto-Admit.

x o x o h t h. it is a clever name, I'll admit, but nothing progressive goes on there.

I don't really understand why so many Cornellians are not just relying on the exclusively Cornell Class of 2011 site, where the discussion boards are set up almost exactly like this. Obviously, I'm guilty of still checking these, but still.

i guess its cause its the fear that cornell's administrators are watching the 2011 site....so we get more freedom to ask all the stupid questions we want here, instead of on 2011

i pwnd my classof2010.cornell site...i pwnd so much i was on the brink of being banned...

mention 9/11 truth and you'll get stoned...

Class of 20XX site is worthless if you want to ask questions that would usually be better off answered by upperclassmen. What good is asking other clueless freshman about stuff you don't know?

ivygateblog has some funny discussions if you like making fun of people.

w w w. college p r o w l e r . c o m

(it's bleeped out because the CC mods don't want you to know about their competition .. shh!)

But tun, you can ask questions to the upperclassmen who run the faq. There's no discussion off of it, but they're thorough in answering.
