I am a senior in high school and have taken a bunch of AP classes already, 31.9 to be exact. Is there a maximum amount of AP credits that can be used at Berkeley?

Although there isn't a maximum number of AP "credits" that can be used at Berkeley from my knowledge, you'll quickly find out that a lot of your AP scores are useless....just spare units that you won't need. Make sure you do extensive research on the requirements for the major/college that you decide on, to make sure that it's worth your time to actually sit down, pay for, and do well on your senior year AP exams.

Depending on your major, you could apply all your AP units as elective credit and graduate a year early. That will require careful course planning however.

Leftist, was it you that made that Telebears FAQ topic? I believe it was incorrect about AP/IB units only pushing you up for appointments within your class level. I know a sophomore that was in both the AP and IB program in high school (over 60 units), and she has telebears at the same time as real seniors.

Well I know that she is not DSP, and I'm pretty sure she didn't go to CC. Have you verified the information with several real life people with different amounts of units? Have you ever met anyone with both AP and IB units, hence having lots of units?

Although I didn't look into it closely, I noticed that my last Phase I was around the same time as 2 juniors transfers from CC. Counting Fall semester, I had ~30 AP units and ~45 Berkeley units and so using your system, I was expecting that the juniors should be ahead of me. I imagine there is some kind of >60 unit requirement for transfers right?

I have 44 AP/IB units. I have confirmed most of the information with the IB major adviser.

I also may have forgotten to mention one thing, sometimes Sproul gets confused by IB credit and counts it as CC units instead of AP units and as a result it affects ones TeleBEARS to a greater extent.

I had Phase I before some seniors and I only had 32 units but ~55 AP units. I'm a second year as well. It's kind of weird how it works.
