Is there a SINGLE BS/MD I have a chance in hell at?

About how many students get acceptedd to the program/per program?

davidj1126, I am very familiar with the Toledo program. We have a family friend in the program. First of all, to clarify, the two programs available at UT are a bioengineering/MD program and an Arts and Sciences degree/MD program. The latter is NOT a biology major only program. You can do any major you want that is available in A&S. Also, you have the option of accelerating the program to three years if you want. The bioengineering program is 4 years, but they push you to just do the 5 years because summer co-ops are hard to get.

The stats you posted are for the SCHOOL ONLY. Those do not apply to the program. As for the race percentages, those are demographics. They don’t represent what the adcoms were looking for. Same with the in-state OOS stuff.

5 people MAX are accepted in the A&S program and 10 people MAX are accepted into the bioE program per year. You can only apply to ONE.

See their website for more info (just google it…really easy to find).

5 and 10 people???wow…that’s REALLY competitive.
i have absolutely no chance…lol

^No, not that many people apply. It’s not as hard as you think…

Would anyone be able to post some of the universities with the program that have a relatively high acceptance rate?

I would appreciate any response.

bump;pppppp

Do not listen to people who said that you should be more focused. You can major in anything, even being in combined bs/md program. We have kids in D’s bs/md program who major in music (at the extremely selective conservatory of music), latin, and so forth. As long as you ocmplete Med. School UG reguirements, get high GPA and MCAT score (if reguired), you are fine. My D has 2 minors, one of them is Music Composition. She just went to interview to get an intern position at Med. Research lab, and her music was one of the points of informal discussion with very positive attitude towards it. They love when people are having interests outside of science. They see it as something that can make personal connections easier. Do not get discouraged!
