Is there a way to get a parking permit if you are a freshman?

So I found out my horse is 12th on the wait-list for pasture board. So, it is highly unlikely I will be able to board him on campus. I currently live too far away to commute back to my current barn, so I have to board him off campus. The barn I will find in Davis will probably be too far away to bike to especially in the rain, so I’ll need a car. I only want to use it to travel to the barn, I wouldn’t want to use it to go to my classes. Do you think they’ll allow me to get a permit? What about using a junior friends permit, who doesn’t want to bring a car? Thanks!

You can park your car along Russell (in front of Cuarto) or on Wake Forest Drive (behind Cuarto near Emerson Hall). You don’t need a permit to park on those streets. You can also try to make friends with an upperclassman and see if they have a free parking permit from their apartment that they’re not using at all.

Yes, those are both good ideas because I think using a C permit to park by the dorms all the time would probably be frowned upon
