My friend just now decided that she wants to apply to and attend Penn State. She's going to major in horticulture because she hears no one really wants to major in it, so it may be easier for her to be accepted. She has an UW GPA 3.18 and her SATs are 1490. She is also Hispanic. Does she have a chance?

By 1490 I’m assuming you mean out of 2400, but correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not so sure if horticulture will help or not, but it is definitely a long shot to get in this far along.

Yes 1490 out of 2400, I’m not sure what she has out of 1600 though. And yeah, that’s what I was thinking.

Well it has rolling admissions, so there’s still a shot to get in.

Doubt it. Most spots are filled up and her stats are simply not good enough for university park.

Those stats are way below UP standards, maybe she can go for a smaller campus?

Yeah that’s what I thought too, dont htink shes willing to go to a smaller campus though
