just curious, will they put all the international students in another pool just like in the freshman application?

more crazy, is there any international transfer asking for financial aid? i know it might be essentially impossible...

to Gobackto2005:
i am currently a raising freshman to a 50ish LAC. After all my applications were complete, i found out that i prefered big U to small LACs for various of reasons

and also, to be honest, my current school is not my first pick, although it is nice and offers me generous financial aid. I love Amherst more than any schools else(even more than all the big Us) because it has almost all the conveniences that a big U offers.

also I want to do business after graduation, and i might have to go back to my home country where the name of school DOES matter.

also for your last question, Gobackto2005,
some schools in the US do not accept application from the universities outside of the US. if i am attending a university, say, in Asia, I will have to apply as a first year applicant.

to Diablo47
thank u for ur reply~
well,as u mentioned above, many Us do not accept studnets transfering from universities outside U.S.It's definitely true.Williams College, for example. It's said they dont accpet int'l transfer on their website.I'm not sure in my situation could apply it.I'll email to AD office to figure out.
p.s. Amherst!!i love it!

Oh,also to Diablo47
my major is business, too.the first year is pre-finance.the second year is finance.but i have to meet some requirements.that wont be hard for me ,i think.maybe i'll just study it for one year since i want to transfer to lac~~lol~~it doesnt matter

where are you from ? my major might be econ, but i wish to study business too, maybe double major or do as minor? i am not sure yet

Yes I am an international student and I want to transfer. You know, few schools offer financial aid to transfer students and specially, international transfer students. I am going to apply next year, so I can do it early decision in a college that actually give aid to international transfers. I am just worry about the extra years that I might have to do if they don't give me enough credits. However, I am planning on taking courses during summer and winter so I can speed my courses and graduate on time. I know that this going to drive me crazy and I will probably be burnt out by the time I graduate but I can't afford to leave school late.

Diablo 47 is right. Some American colleges do not accept students who are transfering from abroad as Sophomore. So you will have to apply as a freshman

Antilles,
what do you mean by doing early decision? is there any early decision in the transfer game?

Diablo I don't know if there is early decision in the trransfer game. I am planning on doing so if I can for Spring 2009 a school that I love and which gives aid to int. S
