<p>Research: Did intensive research in biotechnology/nanoscience in a chemical engineering department at a university. Worked with the head of the department and graduate students. Got an AMAZING rec from head of the department!! (Also I wrote a really good report that the professor talked about in his letter)</p>
<p>Essays: Very Well Written. Got them reviewed a lot and spent a lot of time on them.
Reccomendations: Good from 2 teachers and Great from the Professor</p>
<p>Based on my numbers, I know I dont have the greatest chance but I still wanna know if its even possible for me to get defferred.</p>

<p>Good Luck in admissions! I wish that I was applying this year, instead of in high school. But anyone has a chance, ED increases these chances. SAT is low for cornell, any ivy league schools are all about numbers. You better hope you are in the top half. I guess you cannot do much about the SAT.

<p>Very Slim Chance, Im assuming that you have only taken 1 honors/AP… and at most schools if not all they offer more than one. If your schedule is rigorous, how is your W gpa so little higher than your UW? Does not make sense.</p>
<p>I have taken many honors courses but only few APs. The grading scale at my school is veryy weird.</p>

<p>To be honest, I think your greatest bet is the ED pool. Your GPA might not be such a big problem since, as you’ve said, it shows a great upward trend (fingers crossed though), but your SAT score is unfortunately significantly lower than that of most Cornell applicants. During ED, you might have a chance to shine through your essay and extra curricular activities, but amongst the normal cycle, you will have a tough time competiting with that SAT score. In other words, don’t get your hopes too high even if you are deferred.</p>
